Spam Notice
It has come to our attention that some uncrupulous jerk is using the magic-marmot.com domain as the from address in their spam e-mails.
Magic Marmot Studios does not, nor has it ever sent unsolicited commercial e-mail. Nor will we ever. We get well over 300 UCE spam messages per day at the domain, and are just as annoyed by the crap as anyone else.
What is happening is called e-mail spoofing, which is the false use of somebody's e-mail address as a legitimate return address. This is a well-known spamming technique, and not only is it annoying to you, it infuriates me as well because I get complaints and bounce messages that further clutter up my e-mail.
The spoofed messages seem to have a random set of characters, such as 'kjgsd@magic-marmot.com'. These are completely randomly generated, and are guaranteed to be spam. Ignore them or delete them. Unfortunately, there is nothing I can do to stop it until I find out who is sending it.
If you get UCE spam with a return address domain of magic-marmot.com and you feel like taking some action, send a copy of the e-mail complete with the intact header to your ISP. They should be able to help track down the asshole that is sending his worthless crap.
