Go back to the Golden Days of Radio, back to the shows like Suspense!, The Shadow and Gunsmoke, and you have something different, something... alive, at least in the sense that the listener creates the images of what they hear inside their own head. Suddenly, you are transported into a world that is partly yours, where you are an active participant in the show. Those footsteps that you hear behind you, or that thing in the closet suddenly seem very, frighteningly real.
Now take that same idea, but update it with state-of-the-art recording and production technology, and you start providing an experience that can't quite be matched by anything else. That, in a nutshell, is the concept behind "AudioCinema".
There are several companies that are doing pure audio production these days. Many of these productions are available at Lodestone Media.
Check out our showcase for Soylent Theater's "Made out of People"!
Picture yourself on a sweltering friday afternoon, sitting in a traffic jam, locked into place with nothing to do but listen to the radio. You start flipping across the dial, but all you hear station after station is the same processed, spoon-fed pap over and over again. Wouldn't it be nice to pop in a cassette or CD and be transported into a world of adventure and escape? If you like that idea, then its time for you to have a listen to Audio Cinema.
Pure audio production is a joy. Your production is limited only by your imagination. With several thousand sound effects and musical production elements, we are capable of producing anything from radio commercials to feature-length CDs.
We are a fully digital facility. All of the audio production is done in the computer with programs such as Sound Forge, Vegas, and Acid Pro. We have several microphones, and are MIDI-capable as well.

When you need the perfect sound for that alien ray gun, or perhaps the distant mating call of the bugblatter beast, and you just can't find it on that sound effects CD, you need sound design.
The design of sound elements is a gentle art. Everything has to be taken into account, from the overall mood and feeling of the piece to the other elements that are going on in the production.
You can hear some samples of pure designed sound elements here.
With the rare exception, all audio productions use voices, and the strongest use is the voiceover. We have experience spanning two decades and thousands of radio commercials and other audio productions, as well as microphones and preamps specifically designed for voice use.

It happens.
Now what?
Hey, we all know when it sounds bad. It's easy to just let it slide, but when you play it back for your client, is that what you really want?
We have full sound-for-visual capability, using either Vegas Video or Speed Razor, and can accept VHS, SVHS, 3/4", DVD, or DVCPRO video masters, and can also accept files over the internet. Output can be in locked-to-audio digital formats, DA-88 tape, CD-R, or digital audio files. And now we support 5.1 channel production!
Assuming that you have all of the elements of your production recorded, but you need it put together, we can do that too.
